Found the answer: run Firefox with "export MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1", or add it to to ~/.bash_profile or /etc/bash.bashrc. Firefox is now much nicer with my touchpad. Would there be any interest in making this change in the openSUSE Firefox package so that everybody gets it? Or maybe somehow applying it only for laptop users? I'm running Tumbleweed on my laptop. Firefox doesn't have pixel-by-pixel scrolling the way Chrome/Chromium do. That is to say, when I do a two-finger scroll gesture on my laptop's touchpad, Firefox scrolls three lines at a time as if I was using a scroll wheel, rather than one pixel at a time, in accordance with how fast I move my fingers.
Firefox has this feature in Fedora. Is Red Hat patching Firefox to add the feature or something? How can I get it in Firefox on openSUSE?
