Pressing CTRL-ALT-F# doesn't switch virtual console anymore. Nothing happens, although the cursor disappears, so under the hood it may have switched but the GUI doesn't switch.
could you say the number you are trying to switch to and if it does not work on 1 to 6? 1 to 6 work for me, 12 works since is dumps journal, others do not (though i have never tried them before) FYI, I have the very same problem with Nvidia. Also no switch (and it does not work nor with F1-F6 nor others. It simply seems getty does not run, did not check however.
I have same blank screen w/cursor. the tty is actually there and may be used but you cannot see what is being typed. I boot to multi-user and all tty's display properly until I go to graphical and back to multi-user. the tty's display properly when I am in graphical provided i boot to multi-user and the access graphical, until I return to multi-user. I also use the nvidia driver, 378.13, and the display has been this way for about 40 days for me. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
