Hi, With snapshot 20210222 we have two pam_unix RPMs: - pam_unix.rpm - pam_unix-nis.rpm Both contain pam_unix.so. The standard one has no NIS support to streamline the base system, pam_unix-nis.rpm has full NIS support. The NIS support is only needed to change your password, login should always be possible! Unfortunately bad things did happen and pam_unix-nis did not got released with the snapshot, but should appear now in the update channel. Normally the update should prefer pam_unix-nis. But if that is not available... So if you need NIS support and pam_unix got installed: # zypper install pam_unix-nis -pam_unix Thorsten -- Thorsten Kukuk, Distinguished Engineer, Senior Architect SLES & MicroOS SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany Managing Director: Felix Imendoerffer (HRB 36809, AG Nürnberg)
