Hi all, - From my last upgrade of system,I must remove OpenOffice (it was a problem with python...,bla,bla,bla)
Not bla - that's the way it is with Factory ;-) Python 2.5 is a major update, some packages just cannot be compiled with it. OpenOffice.org was one of them, and it was fixed quite quickly. There are other packages that still don't build because of that! Alpha is Alpha, after all. Btw. there is https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=209326 about this - am I allowed to close it? It's not valid any more.
Well, now I try to install openOffice again and I see that smart want remove any packages (I don't want to be specific, like A,vesion AAA and B version BBB) and install the same A version AAA and B version BBB.At last smart stop with error, before install anything because A version AAA "is already installed" What's happens?
This is another issue. This time it's about db changing its dependencies without changing the release number at the same time. This is a real problem because it confuses the package manager. Not just smart, but actually even YaST - see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=209407
I must delete any file related with smart or check (rpm --rebuilddb for example) my cache?
No, you don't need to do anything because the problem is not caused by anything on your side. Just wait. The mess with db should go away next time the complete base system is rebuilt. I reported all packages which are not installable because of actual bugs (and maybe one too much which was a synchronization problem, sorry for that), the rest are synchronization problems which should go away by themselves.
