My problem with X after updating to 10.1 Alpha2 was not with fontconfig, but with the lack of the 'radeon' driver... Is this the correct place to find out what to do?

The "radeon" driver usually is contained in one of the Xorg-RPMs and is not shipped in a seperate RPM. And if it would be a kernel module and have its own RPM the RPM's name would start with "km_" ... That has been the case for former "fglrx" drivers (which had a seperate "km_fglrx" RPM for the kernel module. But that is history since a few weeks ... In an SUSE 10.0 environment you will find the driver as /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.o and the DRI module is located in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/radeon_dri.so Hope this helps ! Never give up ! Best regards, Reinhard.
