I'm pretty sure that something different is going on with the openSUSE mirror network during the past few days. As I mentioned, I tried http:// and https:// for download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/ as well as a direct address for a reliable mirror, and I still had problems with connection errors and missing repodata. Also yesterday and today I tried to build an ISO with Kiwi on a VPS that is in a different geographical location, so presumably it would hit different mirrors, and it's impossible to build it due to curl timeouts.
