Has anyone tried out SuSE 7.3 yet? I am having problems installing the professional version. At the end of the install routine it does its normal thing of reboot to enable the install before configuring, but with this version it locks up completely and needs resetting to go any further. I have only tried it on the one PC so far. It is a brand new P3-866 with 512M RAM, an IDE hard drive, and an ATI graphics card? Umm...... I've put it into four IBM notebooks and six PCs with AMD and Intel chips. Only problem I had was that KDE wouldn't start. The update from the SuSE site fixed that. Other than that I can't help much. Thanks -- Richard

Other than that I can't help much.
Similarly I've installed it on four machines including one with a fidlly set up of software RAID, LVM and a journalling file system. No problems at all. Cheers -- Phil Driscoll
