RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] suse 8.0
I believe you can buy the upgrade at a very reasonable price, which is (I think) the discs and a book descibing the differences (which there are a few). Maybe SuSE UK would consider selling just the disks to education for even less? (Roger?) 8 is worth it (after making it join my wireless home network),particularly for demonstrations to newbies. And after purchasing 7.0 and 7.3 I am a bit reluctant to shell out again for some manuals I don't need. Does anyone know if it's going to be available anytime soon? cheers Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: suse-linux-uk-schools-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands, e-mail: suse-linux-uk-schools-help@suse.com

Roger??? Seriously I know it's cheaper for education but after buying two previous versions, I've sof for shelled out best part of £80, I don't really wanna shell out much much so I can have 2 sets of redundant discs/ manuals.

I'd like to see if I can get it working properly with this laptop (vaio). matt
You can get the upgrade if you want (= Prof with just one manual) , but as the education price is essentially the same as the upgrade price, you won't want to. I'm afraid we don't sell just disk sets. On Fri, 10 May 2002, Chris Puttick wrote:
