RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] DHCP... address classes
For those interested, we tracked the errant DHCP server to the council; St Pauls is currently receiving its Internet feed via the council network. AFAICT, someone from the council has managed either to turn on DHCP relay on the admin server they are responsible for or they've been messing with patch leads. The investigation continues... (BTW, it's much worse than Andy made it seem - St Pauls have gone Linux thin client across the network - no DHCP server, no computer...) You could try "ifconfig eth0:0 <IP address of bogus server>" which might work as a quick and dirty fix. Alternativly check out the BOFH handbook :) -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: suse-linux-uk-schools-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands, e-mail: suse-linux-uk-schools-help@suse.com
