We use a (Windows/Novell) product to control printing - however the usage of it is near non-existent. Staff want the students to be able to print, even if they run out through misuse, and charging caused unacceptable admin overhead. We're planning on scrapping it in the summer (as part of the Linux migration)... -----Original Message----- From: crowhurst To: suse-linux-uk-schools Sent: 6/9/03 3:35 PM Subject: [suse-linux-uk-schools] OT: Print quota's Does anyone here limit the number of pages a pupil can print? Does anyone for example give each user x number of prints per year and then charge for any excess? If so, what are the pros and cons I'd be grateful to hear other peoples views and opinions on this. We spent about 2k on printing last year... Daniel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: suse-linux-uk-schools-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands, e-mail: suse-linux-uk-schools-help@suse.com
