It does for me; what version of KDE and KMail are you using? Have you tried adding a new user 'useradd kdetest', logging on as them, running KMail, and seeing if it works for this fresh user? If it does, that would suggest that there was something wrong with our KMail configuration in ~/.kde. -- Cheers, Chris Howells -- chris@chrishowells.co.uk, howells@kde.org Web: http://chrishowells.co.uk, PGP key: http://chrishowells.co.uk/pgp.txt http://www.koffice.org, http://edu.kde.org, http://usability.kde.org

KDE 2.1.2 and KMail 1.2 (Balsa 1.0.0 - always closes with a segmentation fault)

I rebuilt the workstation (twice) so it's already a clean build and uses the default kde; my work goes to an nfs mount but all default stuff goes to the local workstation. I would add that I'm having trouble recompiling reduced 2.4.4 kernels from the SuSE 7.2 load on three different machines in that they bomb out before completion but I haven't had time to play. I reverted one of them to the 7.1 distribution and all was well. -- Best wishes, Derek Harding, (BA MIAP) ICT & Network Manager hardingd@warlingham.surrey.sch.uk -- Best wishes, Derek Harding, (BA MIAP) ICT & Network Manager hardingd@warlingham.surrey.sch.uk
