RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] FAST bullying schools
This particular school hasn't signed up to anything but the approach to get in was by implying they had some evidence that the school was breaking the law and that they needed to discuss this. Its the most devious sort of spam marking
If indeed this *is* FAST rather than a con. -- ******************************************************************************** All mail sent and received may be examined to prevent transmission of unacceptable material. It would be a risky con as they sent a physical person in aawho had specific software tools to install on their server to do the audit. It would only take one person to make enquiries and the person involved would be easily traceable. Whatever the case I think the word extortion or protaction racket is not over-stating the case. -- Ian Lynch <ian.lynch@zmsl.com> ZMS Ltd

Interesting. Would the physical person be able to install these tools on our FreeBSD Samba server? -- Christopher Dawkins, Felsted School, Dunmow, Essex CM6 3JG 01371-822698, mobile 07816 821659 cchd@felsted.essex.sch.uk

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a purely FLOSS site to get them in to help out with. You'd have to get them to agree to do a free audit - which I'm sure they'd be happy with. Yeah, it'd have to *only* use floss across the whole site, in both the admin and curriculum, but what a joy to play dumb when they don't seem to be able to help after all. "That's a shame.
