I have just installed Linux to dual boot with Win98 on my home machine. The install was more starightforward than I was expecting. It boots OK. I have 1 error message (starting syslog service startproc: signal catched /usr/sbin/syslogd: segmentation fault) which doesn't tell me very much at present. However it works and I can start the window manager. I have yet to configure printer or modem. Mike Barras Head of ICT Ampleforth College This message comes to you via recycled electrons. Do you get this at every boot? Try typing (as root) rcsyslog start or rcsyslog restart and see what you get. On Tue, 8 Feb 2000, Mike Barras wrote:
