The interesting thing is that in schools (and many corporate settings) the people using the software arn't those who choose to buy it in the first place. Indeed those who see most of

I wouldn't like to be sold something (no matter how good) unless it came with a bit more than a disc!! You are right in some ways though--it's usually the end-user who doesn't get a fair deal and then has to use the blasted software come what may; but that's what policy makers and decision breakers are there for isn't it?
