Q1. What is the suse-schools-usa mailing list? A1. Linux users that would benefit most from this list are teachers, parents, school administrators, school system administrators and educational software developers. We welcome anyone from around the world to help us better develop our ideas and the way that we service our students.
The purpose of suse-schools-usa@suse.com is to provide an exchange of ideas and discussion forum for issues pertaining to the implementation of the Linux operating system in K-12 schools. Appropriate posts could address issues such as curriculum involving Linux, classroom practices, the implementation of Linux in the classroom, school wide development of Linux based applications for education and the use of Linux in schools as a more cost effective approach to delivering educational services.
Q2. What is appropriate content for the list? A2. Discussions that have something to contribute to A1. Techincal topics (e.g. "How to I get my new scanner to work?") are best handled on our other lists such as suse-linux-e.
