A few people joined the list yesterday. Welcome to them: it would be good if they could post a meesage to the list introducing themselves, saying what they do or hope to do with Linux. Christopher Dawkins has suggested to me that we should do a web page for schools to go with this list: it's something I had already thought about and hope to get going before too long - what do other people think? -- Roger Whittaker SuSE Linux Ltd The Kinetic Centre Theobald Street Borehamwood Herts WD6 4PJ ---------------------- 020 8387 1482 ---------------------- roger@suse-linux.co.uk ----------------------

Yes. It would also be nice to have an archive of messages. J McCabe,IT Director | Cthulhu awakens in 24 hours. East Norfolk College | Have a nice day.
I've had to put Linux work on hold as we are in report season and I am in the middle of a house move as well. However, I have been listening in to all the chat. I have two machines set up with Linux and I have learnt a great deal in doing this. I can now log on to our Netware server and access my files and I have connected to an existing print queue. I've played about with the VNC stuff and form my Win 95 desktop I can run programs on and get GUI output from a linux machine. The web idea is good as so many ideas come up in these emails. It's difficult to remember them all and my mail folder is now bulging. Keep up the good work.
