These machines will not perform at all well as fat clients - unless you don't want to run a desktop.
We managed a P120 with 32MB RAM, was a bit slow, but once the browsers up, it was okay...

I'm not saying it won't work, but in a school with more modern Windows machines, the old Linux boxes are going to look, feel (and actually be) second rate. As LTSP terminals they will look and feel up to date - except for the cases, keyboards, old screens etc :) -- Phil Driscoll
