Re: [suse-linux-uk-schools] StarOffice
By the way, Anyone out there who has not tried Star Office by Sun should have a look, it's smooth, non clunky and does most of what I want. >Kind regards
Adrian
*smiles* Wow.. I'd love to have the powerful machine I use. Yes.. I like staroffice.. but non-clunky and smooth? I wish! Even the open souorced version of staroffice (openoffice) with it's more component like structure is a little bloated for me to use happily. Oh I wish wish wish father christmas would bring me a 1+GHz Thunderbird this year... Abiword however.. while not feature-packed.. it's slick! I was writing my squid document in it, when somehow it got corrupted in the style markup. All I needed to do was open it up in notepad (it has an XML markup.. all text based) and cut and paste out the text. If that had been word.. I could have thrown it all away. As for a good office package.. KOffice is quite neat. --Azrael _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
