Hi, Just a quick spam message to let people know that Karoshi has a new version 4.0rc1, this now has Xen and Colossus run with Graphical Interfaces instead of the console. Karsohi is basically a replacement for your network adminstration system which most schools would run using a system owned by a company with a two letter name ;) More information can be found at www.karoshi.org.uk Sorry ;) Jo -- Spread FireFox: http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=user/register&r=32751 Get FireFox: http://www.getfirefox.com OpenOffice: http://www.openoffice.org Mandrake: http://www.mandrakelinux.com Karoshi: http://www.karoshi.org.uk

Don't be sorry. This is a free linux project for school admin systems on a school linux list... seems of interest! :) -- Matt ___________________________________________________________ ALL-NEW Yahoo! Messenger - all new features - even more fun! http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com

Part-timers, I dunno. :) What I wouldn't give for a week off! I used to get so-called "reading weeks" at University, but they have been abandoned. Bloody typical.

I suspect that I'm the last to know, but did you know that you could type about:config in FireFox's address line? Stumbled over it ref. something else. It appears that it's a good idea to set "network.dns.disableIPv6" to true, to improve net access via some ISP's/hosts. The problem manifests itself by FF not fetching pages on the first attempt.
