Hi Has anyone found an enterprise oriented remote support utility? I'm looking for something that can poll a given subnet and return a list of the available clients. The idea behind the requirement is to be able to provide remote support on very minimal information, and potentially relatively minimal (generic IT) skills on the behalf of the operator. Preferably cross-platform... Cheers Chris
It appears I'm looking for exactly the same thing! I was having a look at netsaint last night. Anyone have any experience with this? Would it map a network 'live' and report it via a web browser to a remote location? It would be so handy to be able to say 'ah the reason you can't print is because someone's turned off the print server' etc etc. It appears from the screenshots that it does this sort of thing for Windows and other clients. And switches? Can it really do that, so that you can diagnose workgroup problems remotely? That would be a very handy tool indeed. Any experience with this would be greatly received. -- Matt Johnson __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Like Giles, I use nmap (xnmap for the GUI) which is very useful. -- Best wishes, Derek
