RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] Microsoft and Exam Boards and the OFT
Some of the Open University courses have this approach too depending or not on whether they allow electronic assignment submission
'Tis true, but then they even refuse to support the Macintosh :( Although to be fair, the reason for doing this is so that they can mark it electronically. And it also means that you get extra time to do it, as you don't have to allow for the post :) And it was a god send on my Smalltalk course... :) -- Open WebMail Project (http://openwebmail.org)

Would that be M206 per chance? That's what I'm currently studying. What did you think of the course and the decision to use smalltalk? Matt -------------------------------------------------
Yeah, that was it :) Was the very first OU course I did, and I was fine till Block 3, and then I had *lots* of late nights. Personally, I really enjoyed using Smalltalk, although when I tried to translate my Skills over into Squeak or VisualAge, I really struggled. They do hold your hand with that custom app. Althouth for teaching Object Oriented programming methodologies, it was spot on. Am doing M301, the Java course next year, am doing C++ and Relational Databases (not the same course!) at the moment... On Wed, 2 Jul 2003 15:36:37 +0100, Matt Williams wrote

Is DMZX863 the only course in the powerful general purpose language family? ;-)
