Samba shares not present on Network Neighbourhood.
I have the same problem here, my Linux machine running among a NT controlled domain does not appear on the browse list. I think this is because the NT machine hasn't been introduced to the Linux machine..... If you are lucky (and I believe that it is just luck) then you will be able to type the machine name directly into the 'c:/windows' line on windows explorer. This saves having to set up a shared drive. My machine does this, but many here don't, is this an option or is it hardcoded into whatever version of windows you have??? Simon Wood
