Hi All, Overall, the meeting was very positive with Becta clearly looking for a single point of contact with the various FLOSS communities. A brief summary would be: * that the Becta OS TCO report will be published after the election. This report seems likely to produce considerable interest in the use of FLOSS in schools. * Becta is loking for ways to support and encourage schools considering the uptake of FLOSS. * that the construction of a gateway to a set of FLOSS resources and companies needs to be made available to aid schools in their decision making. A report in more detail will follow as soon as it has been typed up.
