Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me in sorting out a sendmail configuration problem. Currently we have one mailbox at our ISP (multi-drop) with which we use fetchmail to retrieve the mail and sendmail to distribute to the appropriate users. However I've noticed that when users sign up to distribution lists their e-mail address is not recognised and instead it get's delivered to the root mailbox. Is there anyway of resolving this and getting the address parsed correctly? I've noticed in the mail headers the users e-mail address is documented (in the form <extra information>-<username>=<domain name>)), is it possible to parse this somehow with a rule? If so where does this go? Cheers, Matt Hinds ICT Systems Manager Heworth Grange Comprehensive School Tel: +44 (191) 420 2204 Fax: +44 (7092) 029 624 Mobile: +44 (7803) 589 722

Could you post an example set of headers? Maybe also check if you can send an email from outside to one of the email addresses you are having problems with. -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763
