Does anyone know where SuSE have put the default preferences for Icewm. No matter where I change the preferences it makes no effect on the desktop - in particular changing the background image? regards garry

On a per-user basis look in ~/.icewm . The files there override the system ones. I think that the system ones are somewhere in the X11 tree, but I haven't looked recently.
