RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] Microsoft stole my mother (was StarOf fice)
I have heard people say to me "I know load of people who actually like XP" but I've not met any first hand.

Hi y'all, I have had XP on my home PC for a few months now, the good news for Linux is that anyone who is unsure whether to go Linux or MS will definitely go with Linux. XP is CPU, memory and HDD hungry, its slow and cumbersome, its been made to look pretty at the cost of the PC. Why ? You would of thought they would have learnt from Millenium. The networking parts are difficult to say the least and requires a disk to install on other non XP MS PCs otherwise they have "problems" communicating with the XP PC. Being an avid gamer, I hvae noticed the serious drop in frame rates from Windows 98SE to XP via Geforce2 GTS. Dont get me wrong, I know some MS products have some nice features (please dont ask me to name them !), but when the OS starts dictating the power of the PC, then somethings wrong, seriously wrong. The futures bright............ Quoting "Grainge, Derek" <DGG@wellington-college.berks.sch.uk>:
