I've downloaded the suse 9.3 directories (shorn of 64bit and ISO's) from the ftp.gwdg.de mirror site (it was quicker than suse.com and how) which is one of the update mirrors for YOU. The boot cd finds the nfs directory via a manual installation routine (for some reason fails on the graphic one on first attempt and then finds it when drops back into manual for a retry) and then when it starts up the pretty pictures install, the analysing system won't find an installation list of software. Somewhere it should have asked for what kind of installation - upgrade, new, repair, shouldn't it? Always did with 9.2. Annoying thing is that I had a working copy of 9.3 but it had somehow doubled in size on the disk - that had been an early grab off a server and I think they changed a lot of names when it was released finally on 22 march. So deleted the 40gb that seemed to take up and reloaded it from the current. Anyway, the message I get is: No source found at nfs://malcolm:PASSWORD@10.0.0.200/pub/suse/suse9.3 ERROR: no proposal Anyone throw any light on this? Or why it isn't giving me an install choice .. and how I can force it to do a manual install right from the initial bootup of the boot cd...? Many thanks
