There are some entries for this laptop on http://www.tuxmobil.org/hp_compaq.html but not for SuSE.
Have you any answers otherwise I will have to wipe Suse off.
I am not sure whether this is some sort of threat. Please do not threaten us.
I did this as a prelim to putting Suse 9 on my desktop as I wish to try out some Linux eduaction programs. Now I am not so sure, although I hope it wont be a problem on the desktop as it is up to date hardware.
Dismissing all GNU/Linux use solutions on the basis of your experiences with getting one release installed on a laptop seems rather hasty. Laptops are generally a lot more awkward than desktop machines and installation tends to be the most difficult part. I think that when you last posted to this list, I suggested that you contact HertsLUG, your local university and/or relatively near support firms in Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Did you get that email? I didn't get a reply, but I didn't get an error message either. -- MJR/slef My Opinion Only and possibly not of any group I know.
