A useful contribution - we need as many people involved in this as possible. On a personal note, if you could recompile your software so it would run under Linux I would be delighted. At Handsworth Grammar School, the science department love your materials and as we will be going to Linux desktops next year! This would be a wonderful contribution to the projects - even without you going open source.
Not really :( Almost all of our CD-ROM based materials are developed using Macromedia Director, and they still do not support Unix/X11. There are historical reasons as to why we use Director, based on the types of software we were developing 5 years ago.. However, I have had success running Multimedia Science School under WINE, and in some areas even noticed a performance increase as a result! I'd like to support a version of it for Linux, and so I might look into that again. The software that I'm working on at the minute is written in C++/Qt :) -- James Hurst mailto:james.hurst@new-media.co.uk
