Is the app that good?
No! Unfortunately, the company has very good salespeople. (they managed to sell a system on which we are going to run our entire group of companies and they haven't even finished writing it yet) We have to dump our existing ISP's, go through them using BT IPStreams (a 1-to-1 contention DSL connection) and let them manage all services including email. Not only that, but after telling us that we can simply PORT our data providing we can produce suitable export programs, not a problem as the current system is in-house, they're now telling us that we're going to have to manually KEY in our entire vehicle stock data. AND.......(there he goes off on one again) Gets better all the time doesn't it?

Love this, gonna remember that one.
Just for the record, it's not just schools that have this problem.
We're just in the process of upgrading 120 Win95 boxes to WinXP (hate it) just so that we can access a web based application.
We have no choice, we have to do it to be able to access the service, and nothing below XP wil work (read nothing below XP will be supported cos they've got a very small and narrow-minded support desk and even more narrow minded development team).
great eh?
