No!
Unfortunately, the company has very good salespeople.
(they managed to sell a system on which we are going to run our entire group of companies and they haven't even finished writing it yet)
Is this one of these situations where open source would have been vetoed on the basis of being "untried and untested".
We have to dump our existing ISP's, go through them using BT IPStreams (a 1-to-1 contention DSL connection) and let them manage all services including email.
Not only that, but after telling us that we can simply PORT our data providing we can produce suitable export programs, not a problem as the current system is in-house, they're now telling us that we're going to have to manually KEY in our entire vehicle stock data.
Really stupid question: What will this new system do which the old system does not or cannot do? (Also will it do everything the old system does.) This is my thinking towards the new SIMS "SuperSTAR". -- Mark Evans St. Peter's CofE High School Phone: +44 1392 204764 X109 Fax: +44 1392 204763
