Thanks for the numblock info - that worked a treat. double-click Is it possible to change the mouse action (say within file managers) to respond to double rather than single clicks? I find myself either opening files that I didn't intend to open or else opening two instances of a file that I want to open! CD-ROM Speed (24x IDE, 48MB RAM, P266) While spuddling through the SuSE CDs, looking at the packages available, I have noticed that some (large) folders initially display their contents quickly then slow to a crawl - requiring a down line/page to initiate further reads, only to suddenly speed up again towards the end of the folder (sorry, I forget which folders/CDs were responsible). Is this a 'feature' of LINUX and the way it reads CD's or do I need to increase a CD cache somewhere?
