Hi all, I hope it's ok to post in english. I'm sorry, I don't speak German... I havew downloaded SLSS and got it installed ok, but I have a problem with setting up the network as I need it. I have a server with 2 nics, 192.168.0.1 and a.b.c.100. Firewall/NAT etc works ok, but I want to add a DMZ on a.b.c.101 using an IP alias eth1:0 but I can't seem to get it to work. If I run ifconfig eth1:0 a.b.c.101 netmask 255.255.255.248 up I can ping it ok, but ifconfig doesn't show it! It just shows eth0 and eth1. If I add eth1:0 as DMZ in /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 things break. I can no longer ping the outside world from the LAN, I get firewall entries dropping packets with a warning about ANTI-SPOOF. Has anyone seen this before? I have used ip aliases for years with SuSE Pro and SLES, but I can't get it to work on SLSS. Any help would be great. It is a bug in the package net-tools. You can download an update from: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/varkoly/Schulserver/update/net-tools-1.60-444.i586.rpm Install it with rpm -Uvh net-tools-1.60-444.i586.rpm on yoour system. If you can so, please download our last beta from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/varkoly/Schulserver/betatest/SLES8-SLSS-i386-Int-Beta3b.iso. This iso contains this bugfix and several improvement on the schoolserver too.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance, Mark
