Hi All !
The GIMP teams says they found a way to generate ODF from DocBook XML. Maybe we could do the same... This could be beneficial for LfL.

Hi folks,
I added the docbook2odf support today. To create ODF files, grab the docbook2odf package from:
http://open.comsultia.com/docbook2odf/
Run the configure script again and create ODF files by typing:
make odf
It was very slow on my machine because of a preprocessing step (it copied every single image to a temporary directory). I'd like to get some comments if someone tries to create ODF files.
Cheers, -- Roman Joost www: http://www.romanofski.de email: romanofski@gimp.org

I have made already a package. It is in my repository, see
http://repos.opensuse.org/home:/thomas-schraitle/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/
I hadn't have enough time to test it.

It does the job surprisingly well and fast. I converted LfL to ODF and it looks pretty good. Problems were in variablelist and systemitems as far as I can see. They didn't show up.

I saw it was a pretty old package with a weird version number. I have updated to 0.211 and fixed some small packaging problems. FYI it's building at the moment but should be finished in a few minutes.
Bye, Tom
