libatlas3: RPM_OPT_FLAGS
Hello Mates, a few weeks ago, i tried to submit libatlas3. But anyone said, that i must fix the $RPM_OPT_FLAGS. So i tried first: # export CFLAGS="-g -w %{optflags}" # export CXXFLAGS="-g -w %{optflags}" # ../configure $BFLAG -Fa alg -fPIC --with-netlib- lapack=%{_libdir}/liblapack-pic.a --cflags="$CFLAGS But that doesn't work. My next Step was to patch the configure. But that doesn't work too. I think this is a selfmade configure. Has anyone other ideas to fix it? Or can we close one eye? -- Sincereley Yours Sascha Manns openSUSE Build Service openSUSE Marketing Team openSUSE Features Screening Team Maifeldstrasse 10 D-56 727 Mayen Phone: +49 2651 4014045 Fax: +49 1805 019800 64392 Email: Sascha.Manns@directbox.com Web: http://saschamanns.gulli.to Project-Blog: http://lizards.opensuse.org/author/saigkill Private-Blog: http://saschasbacktrace.blogspot.com PGP-Key: E31B59FB @ hkp://wwwkeys.pgp.net

As I wrote you in previous mail it is not possible to close eyes, because flags is taken from build machine and it allows SSE3 for i586, which is not good idea (It doesn't work on older PCs). Why patching configure doesn't work? configure must somehow get that optimalized flags. FYI: fedore produce packages atlas, atlas-sse, atlas-sse2 and atlas-sse3 (different optimalization - your output is sse3, because we have quite new build machines)...So maybe look how they compile it and that should help you.
