Hi all, the package does not conform to 'shared library packaging policy' [1] What do you think about the following patch that tries to fix it? It only renames the package to end with its soname which is enough to make RPMLint happy. Does it have any drawbacks or is it OK? Hi all,
the package does not conform to 'shared library packaging policy' [1]
What do you think about the following patch that tries to fix it? It only renames the package to end with its soname which is enough to make RPMLint happy. Does it have any drawbacks or is it OK?
Another question: if the library is used only by fwbuilder (both packages have the same version), is it worth fixing at all? -- Best regards / s pozdravem Petr Uzel, Packages maintainer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: puzel@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 964 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+help@opensuse.org

I believe that strict sticking to the policy in the case when only one package uses the library does not make much sense - I have accepted the package meanwhile.
