Description: qtractor updated to 0.4.2, could I push this app to contrib? I just spotted that qtractor is maintainer by upstream in home:rncbc

Maybe we could ask him if he's not interested in maintaining these packages in Contrib (well, not qjackctl as it is in Factory too). Well, why not simply put this to FACTORY? I've been just too lazy to submit it (and test it). If any of you can take care, it should be fine.
Keeping this in Contrib doesn't make much sense, especially when considering the future change of FACTORY. I guess it is still not clear whether we'll allow version updates for leaf packages in Contrib. If we will, it would make sense to put

What is special with qtractor?
Absolutely nothing. I just wanted to point out that we shouldn't give Contrib up for lost until it is made clear that the Contrib and Factory rules will be the same. If they are we could move packages from Contrib to Factory ASAP to avoid branching of Contrib-11.2. (But I'm afraid autobuild is not ready for this step yet and I'm not creating 200+ PDB entries).

I test qtractor, and it ... works :), but there is a problem with coexistence with pulseaudio, because qtractor use jackd so by default if you start qtractor and pulseaudio application one of them wouldn't work however this issue could be resolved with pulseaudio-module-jack, so I am not sure if we could push qtractor directly to the factory any ideas ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+help@opensuse.org
