Fwd: [opensuse-packaging] Switching to gcc 4.4

Now that gcc 4.4.0 is released, we want to switch to it. But as a matter of fact, there are still ~70 build failures for factory - you can check out the current state here: [.. some parts removed here...] It would be good if you could check this before we switch, we plan to do on May 15th. That gives you plenty of time to fix the missing includes - as announced earlier you can test build like this:
osc build --alternative-project openSUSE:Factory:Gcc44 staging (or you temporary add that repo to your project)
Greetings, Stephan
I took the freedom to forward the announcement of Stephan to this list here, as I am rather sure not everybody here, who is maintaining packages for Contrib, is also subscribed to -packaging ML. So: in general I would say this means we should clean up the Contrib / GCC44 staging as well for that date ;) the stats do not look that bad: there are only 9 failed packages (one is actually even mine) Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-contrib+help@opensuse.org

Hi, since gcc-4.4.0 is now default, I've removed openSUSE_Factory_GCC44 from Contrib's build repositories. There are still a few packages that does not build for Factory [*] - it would be nice if maintainers of those packages could take a look...
