Hey AJ,
I'd like to have a few more updates to the survey and send it out after they are implemented.
First of all, I'd like a second, super-short survey for those who subscribed/registered but didn't come. In the mail I'll just point them to that one if they didn't come. Questions:
* You registered but couldn't make it to the conference. Why? 1. I really planned to come but personal life got in the way 2. The program didn't seem interesting 3. I couldn't afford it 4. I found out about the conference too late 5. I only registered to get information/show my support 6. The people I wanted to meet didn't go 7. My work/boss didn't allow me to go 8. Another reason (add below) (text box)
* When, approximately, did you register? 1. shorty after the conference was announced 2. over 3 months before the conference 3. at least a month before the conference 4. more than two weeks before the conference 5. about a week before the conference 6. the last days before the event
Here's a link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WK6SHW5
Second, I have a few things I'd like to add to the survey for people who DID come to oSC (the one at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TL7CR7S I believe).
* Add as options to 1: - from linuxdays.cz - from the gentoo ML, planet or website
Add to the questions about registration: * When, approximately, did you register? 1. shorty after the conference was announced 2. over 3 months before the conference 3. at least a month before the conference 4. more than two weeks before the conference 5. about a week before the conference 6. the last days before the event
Please add to: 14. Did you attend the opening party on Friday No, I could not find it No, I didn't know there was one
Add the text: "We are well aware there were problems with the party. Some of you had a good time but others did not and we apologize for that.
15. Did you attend the conference party on Saturday Option 3 = yes but it wasn't much. Please add: Please elaborate (text box)
17: Have you installed or do you plan to use openSUSE as a result of attending the conference?
Change into: 17: Have you installed or do you plan to use Linux as a result of attending the conference? * Yes, and I picked openSUSE! * Yes, and I picked Gentoo! * Yes, and I picked another distribution! * No, I already used Linux * No, I don't want to use Linux
Then I'd love to see the latest link and I'll send it to the participants.
The links are still the same, so go ahead... Thanks. Sorry to bother but I have one more addition, preferably as one of the first questions: How would you classify yourself: 1 amateur/hobby linux user 2 professional linux user (sysadmin etc) 3 amateur/hobby linux developer 4 professional linux developer If nobody has any more additions, I'll go ahead and send this out once this change is made. I'm going to skip translating - it will mean we focus mostly on the international crowd. If the LinuxDays folk want a survey, they can make one. I'd even help send it out :D Cheers, Jos
Andreas

Change is done,
Send out. Already got feedback: - please make the questions non-mandatory - please add a text box to the question about accommodation You just told me there are 70 people already who answered, that's quite good!

You have already 100 people answering, if you now change the survey in any form, get garbage out of it. Btw. not all questions are mandatory.

There is one already.

Yeah, it's great - and that's the reason you don't want to change it anymore. The test link was up for four weeks to change it ;( Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org

I know, I know, I just didn't spot anything bad... I only now got feedback from folks who did the survey.
