[opensuse-conference] conference announcement
Heya all, The openSUSE conference announcement on news.o.o: http://news.opensuse.org/2012/05/30/opensuse-conference-has-a-location-and- a-cfp-out/?preview=true is almost good to go. Minor fixes, including adding a logo (anditosan promised to work on that) might be needed but I won't be doing that! The article WILL go live Wednesday, may 30th, 9:00 UTC. So if there are changes needed: make them! Theo, the Gentoo Miniconf - Just Do It, dude! If you really don't want to do it, you have to cancel it NOW. We have to re-do all our artwork, the website and this announcement on Tuesday MORNING CEST. If the changes aren't done before 12:00 tomorrow morning EU time, they probably won't be done... And it sucks for the artwork, so just do it :D Now I will try to gather the text from the announcement tomorrow to send a primer to the press - that's also why I ask to hurry up with feedback and (making) changes... Love and hugs and see some of you at LinuxTag! /Jos

Regarding conference website http://suse2.shayon.me/, I would get rid of Czech version (if nobody did any translation, I see Spanish on the web) and on first page there is About The Summit on the left, but actually regarding the announcement, there is written that CfP starts at 30th of May, not tomorrow... Another question regarding CfP, once it will be open, will there be a possibility from submitter to select target audience? To distinguish between talks for beginners and for hardcore hackers... -- Michal Hrusecky <Michal@Hrusecky.net> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org

I'm working on the translation, should have something for merge today. -- Michal Čihař | SUSE L3 Support, Prague -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org

I've started work on Czech translation, first part is in following pull request: https://github.com/shayonj/openSUSE-Conference/pull/1 One question is whether we're going to translate "Bootstrapping awesome!". If yes, I'm open to suggestions :-). -- Michal Čihař | SUSE L3 Support, Prague -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org
Michal, Also, please don't make any further changes to the source as of now. Theres a lot of cleaning up I need to do in the code now :) . I will update you as soon as I am done . /S On May 22, 2012, at 8:13 AM, Michal Čihař wrote:

Michal, You can resume again :) . I have fixed all the links. So they link right to each other now. I will be fixing other links, and minor bugs soon enough. /S On May 22, 2012, at 8:13 AM, Michal Čihař wrote:

Thanks, I plan to work more that on that tomorrow. Still I would welcome feedback from the other Czech speaking people, because I've definitely made some silly translations :-). -- Michal Čihař | SUSE L3 Support, Prague -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org
Hello all, I will pull the request today. But as I can see, few of the syntaxes have been changed, and its not gonna deploy due to that. I will fix it and update the same soon. /S On May 22, 2012, at 4:56 AM, Michal Hrusecky wrote:

I added to the CFP form to ask for the target audience... (There might be a better way to do it...) AlanClark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org
