[opensuse-conference] so what's Jos up to...
Heya all, Just to let you know what's going on with the interviews: Got feedback from Thijs (speaker I interviewed) that the interview is OK so RIGHT NOW uploading to blip.tv, youtube follows later. Finished editing the video of Bas vd Abel, asked him for feedback. Will edit the video of Georg Greve tomorrow. Should all be in time (JUST in time) for a nice article on Thursday... The article itself can still use some editing and I especially hope the interview with Shane will be done in time (hint hint!) On a related note, I said I'd take care of communication to the conference participants. Will is going to help a bit with promo tasks, so I asked him to prepare a nice, energetic mail about adding lightning talks and BoF sessions by conf participants. I also prepared 4-5 other mails for conf participants and speakers. Now need speaker list from Michal and/or Theo and then update the participant list when Will has finished his mail so I can send out another 500 spam mails ;-) Have a lot of fun, Jos -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org
The interviews are all edited, Bas van Abel is done uploading (really cool interview, worth watching) and Georg's video is rendering. I'm gonna send it to him for review and will upload it after that. I will now go and move the article for tomorrow from piratepad to news.o.o and post a preview link here, which can be used for translation. I won't be able to fully integrate the interview with Ramon Roca by Zoumpis tonight but that shouldn't be too much work - I hope someone can pick that up before it goes live scheduled on 15:00 UTC tomorrow ;-) Also, if we get translations it'd be nice to put links to them in the article but that is not mandatory or anything. The interview with Shane Coughlan about Open Relief can still be added, if not done before tomorrow release time, we just use the text that is there now and publish that interview later. I'll reply soon with the link on news.o.o! I will add the youtube link of the interview with Georg probably tomorrow morning before I go visit the doctor. Ok, article ready for a first look: http://news.opensuse.org/?p=14284&preview=true I still need to get feedback from Georg if it's OK so I'll upload his video to blip and youtube tomorrow and add the links after that (or ping you folks on doing that, as I might not have time for doing more than uploading). And yes, the part of Ramon and Shane still need to be done. Hope I can get help :D But besides those, the rest can be translated and and once it goes live, we should promote this like never before as it's the last big splash we can make before we get too close to the conference to really get people to book and sign up and all that!!! I just took out the section on Open Relief, to save for tomorrow hopefully, Shane told me he'd reply soon. I edited the interview with Ramon but it's still 'question and answer' format. Would you like me to make it more prose like the section from Stathis? cheers Helen On Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 8:44 AM, Jos Poortvliet <jos@opensuse.org> wrote:
