My opinion about the logo you suggested is "no way". looks like a race car flag or something like that :P
I like to see your suggestion following openSUSE identity using our fifthleg font type. but where is the geeko?
I like the idea to have something related with the croatia national flag, or something related with croatia flag, but we need to find out a better logo.
what about to have pretty much similar as oSC13 where we put leaft on geeko. This time we can put a kind of king crown, pretty much as same I seen in some openSUSE "Keep Calm" Banner made by victor I think.
We will have a oSC14 meeting next sunday. so will be good to discuss about the logo and moto for the conference

Hey guys,
I tried working on some ideas about a possible logo for the conference. I searched for important iconography of Croatia, and since it is our first time there, I thought using a national coat of arms symbol would be useful. This time though, I tried to go for impact and extreme simplicity. I tried showing our name and Croatia’s symbols quite strongly on the graphics.
I can make a few modifications and I am mostly looking for input. I think, though, it would be wise to stick to “national” symbols and not the city or smaller place only. I think it is good to identify openSUSE with a whole nation.

Thank you!

I agree, I will try to come up with other different logos. Remember though that the red and white checkerboard is very representative of Croatia. Croatia's airline uses it, soccer teams, traditional clothing, etc. So it feels very present for their iconography. Maybe I will integrate it in other different ways to test for better designs. -- Andy (anditosan) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-conference+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-conference+owner@opensuse.org
