[opensuse-cloud] Replaced SLE_11_SP2 with SLE_11_SP3 repositories
Hi, I've replaced the SLE_11_SP2 repositories with SLE_11_SP3 repositories in Cloud:OpenStack:Grizzly and Master. The main reason for that is that Quantum requires certain fixes to the SLE_11 basesystem that are only available in SP3, so there is no good reason for keeping the SP2 repositories. Currently they still build against SP2 internally, but once SP3 becomes available they will be upgraded to build against SP3. In any case they can already be installed on SP3 systems and are useable there. Doh. SLES11 SP3 is not public available at the moment. I don't think it's a good idea to remove the SLES11 SP2 target today. Can you please re-add the SLES11 SP2 target for the moment? I think the target should be there until SLES11 SP2 reached the end of life. Best, Christian. On 06/11/2013 10:46 AM, Dirk Müller wrote:

And can you please add me to the group "openstack-developers". I'm not a member there at the moment. And please communicate about such changes in the future! Hi Christian,
Doh. SLES11 SP3 is not public available at the moment.
Thats going to change.
I don't think it's a good idea to remove the SLES11 SP2 target today.
As I wrote in the initial mail, the packages in the SP3 repo can currently be used on a SP2 system. That said however, they're not going to work fully on SP2 for several reasons, including missing network namespace support. As such I don't see a big value in keeping SP2 around. It is already hard enough to keep things working for SP3.
Can you please re-add the SLES11 SP2 target for the moment? I think the target should be there until SLES11 SP2 reached the end of life.
I've readded the SP2 repos for Grizzly and Grizzly:Staging. Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-cloud+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-cloud+owner@opensuse.org

Dirk, while I understand this recommendation, could you enable SP2 again - until SP3 has been released publically plus a grace period? Since SP3 is not out yet, we should not switch off the SP2 builds for those that want it.
