Debian 11/12: The repository setup is broken, build or publish not possible
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Debian:11 https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Debian:12 aarch64, armv7l, x86_64 The repository setup is broken, build or publish not possible (unresolvable vminstalls: nothing provides kernel-obs-build)
I first solved the problem with "VMInstall: !kernel-obs-build" in the prjconf.

it is hopefully fixed now propperly. The kernel-obs-build is derived from a fix SLE 15 otherwise you get the work host kernel. This can lead to random results and break on some architetures completely. As background, check OBS:DefaultKernel:Build project, where I automated the convert from rpm to deb now. -- Adrian Schroeter <adrian@suse.de> Build Infrastructure Project Manager SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, Frankenstraße 146, 90461 Nürnberg, Germany (HRB 36809, AG Nürnberg) Geschäftsführer: Ivo Totev

Ok, thanks, I'll keep an eye on it. Does the 'kernel-obs-build' also exist for Arch? I can dimly remember testing a build locally with osc using '--vm-type kvm' for Arch and getting an error that the 'kernel-obs-build' package could not be found. Regards

It does not IIRC, at least it is not configured in Arch:Core project. -- Adrian Schroeter <adrian@suse.de> Build Infrastructure Project Manager SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, Frankenstraße 146, 90461 Nürnberg, Germany (HRB 36809, AG Nürnberg) Geschäftsführer: Ivo Totev

Ok, I see, thanks anyway.
Thanks for fixing the Debian builds. I just want to let you know that armv7l builds are still broken. Best Christian Christian Felder M. Sc. It appears that the 'alien' tool does not map for 'armv7hl' to 'armhf' (at least) so 'kernel-obs-build' cannot be built for Debian. I've workaround it on this project https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:librespace:OBS:DefaultKernel:Bu... . P.S. It appears that there are only 3 available runners with EL1 to support kvm 'aarch64=off'; thus building is on queue since yesterday.
