Yes, when you commit something you create a high priority event (check the /monitor page for the event numbers) and it's worked on pretty quick. Once it's scheduled, it's preferred from the dispatcher because it's a source commit. But once it's finished, it's one of many other medium priority events. This is something we are aware of and want to work on mid term.
