[opensuse-buildservice] failed to add patch
Hi! I am currently trying out the buildservice and I want to add a pci id to kernel module. So I linked to kernel-source in my home: project and added a patch, see http://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=kernel-source&project=home%3Apirast But the build service says could not add patch 'a9rp-wlan-support.patch' Does anyone have an idea what causes this? Thanks! Martin

The real error is "specfile has no %prep section". Seems like the build service is lying, the specfile does have %prep. So it's probably a bug I have to hunt down... Hmm, it patches every specfile (because it doesn't know which specfile gets selected later), and kernel-dummy.spec really has no %prep section. What can I do about it then? Thanks, Martin Am Dienstag, den 17.04.2007, 18:11 +0200 schrieb Michael Schroeder:

Good question, I'll ask the kernel fols if they can add a dummy prep section. Or they might want to drop the kernel-dummy.spec file altogether... Hi! In my desperation I created another patch which adds a %prep section to kernel-dummy.spec, but it still does not work.. What is the problem now? Thanks, Martin Am Dienstag, den 17.04.2007, 18:50 +0200 schrieb Michael Schroeder:

I don't see that patch at the moment, but currently you're adding 'Source110: patches.pirast.tar.bz2'. Source110 us already used by patches.apparmor.tar.bz2, but maybe that's intended... Hi Michael! You are right, the patch does not exist anymore as I now try to patch it on an other way. You are also right with the Source110 problem, I actually intended to call it 111, but I somehow forgot it. I am going to set up an other package to show the problem to you, but it probably won't happen today. Thanks! Martin Am Donnerstag, den 19.04.2007, 14:55 +0200 schrieb Michael Schroeder:
