[opensuse-buildservice] Suggestion: private repositories (paid!)
Hi, I would like to see something similar to https://github.com/pricing with private repositories in obs. It seems there is even some code that should do that from packmans obs instance. [ ] Hide the entire project [ ] Deny access to sources of project I imagine that there could be others interested who do not wish do have their own obs instance but use an already hosted obs to build for Linux distributions (maybe more). It doesn't work that way. If you know the name (or can guess), you can source the packages anyway. Also, publishing would be public no matter what. The feature is mainly there for private instances where there may be sensitive projects that shouldn't be trivially accessible. For example, I have some sensitive buildroot configuration and packages in a private project in my internal OBS. As I have total control over the environment and how it is accessed, it works for me. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for the response. Well in github even if you know the name you still can not access it if it is private and it should be possible acl /meta cfg etc, but I understand that this would require lots of resources to implement. Anyway, I will go ahead and host OBS locally. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
