[opensuse-buildservice] armv5el builds fail on Ubuntu 9.04 and Debian 5.0
Hello all, Is the armv5el building ready for Ubuntu / Debian? I have this problem when everything seems to build fine, but there's a kernel panic in the end and the build status is "failed". The package is: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=gsmartcontrol&project=home%3Aalex_sh The log: ---------------------------------------------- dh_gencontrol dh_md5sums dh_builddeb dpkg-deb: building package `gsmartcontrol' in `../gsmartcontrol_0.8.4+nmu1_armel.deb'. dpkg-genchanges >../gsmartcontrol_0.8.4+nmu1_armel.changes dpkg-genchanges: including full source code in upload dpkg-buildpackage: full upload (original source is included) ... saving built packages /usr/src/packages/DEBS/gsmartcontrol_0.8.4+nmu1_armel.deb Unsupported ioctl: cmd=0x0002 (0) FIGETBSZ: Function not implemented Unsupported ioctl: cmd=0x80041272 (4) 0x80081272 -> BLKGETSIZE64 (8) Unsupported ioctl: cmd=0x80041272 (4) 0x80081272 -> BLKGETSIZE64 (8) qemu: Unsupported syscall: 88 qemu: Unsupported syscall: 88 qemu: Unsupported syscall: 88 Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! ---------------------------------------------- By the way, is ARM or PPC package building for openSUSE 11.1 available for general public yet? I'm getting expansion error with ARM and N/A with PPC. Martin fixed this ioctl in qemu, new worker images are deployed. So this should work again, please test.

PPC is only enabled for very few projects with reviewed sources. The reason behind this is the currently missing secure virtualization support for PPC. We can enable it for everybody when XEN, kvm or alike is working on ppc. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
Hi, the issue is solved. We have now 3 arm distros working: Debian 5.0, Ubuntu 9.04 and Fedora 10 as build targets. Message about that: http://lizards.opensuse.org/2009/04/27/arm-support-in-opensuse-buildservice-... Thank you both, everything's working now. By the way, is it possible to import the latest Fedora 10 packages from http://ftp.linux.org.uk/pub/linux/arm/fedora/pub/fedora/linux/releases/10/Ev... ? The Build Service seems to contain the packages from http://ftp.linux.org.uk/pub/linux/arm/fedora/pub/fedora/linux/releases/10/Ev... , which is missing quite a few packages compared to the url above. Thanks! Alexander -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

sure. we were desparately waiting for them to update the packages. tnx for noticing. Adrian: before you download them, let me first check if they are complete this time. We had it in the past that it was handywork before you could build against. I will come back when it works....
