[opensuse-buildservice] bug: reducing the number of workers causes perpetual "building" state

I reduced the number of workers (via /etc/sysconfig/obs-worker) on a local OBS instance and restarted obsworker. Three jobs that were in 'building' during that time are now stuck in that state. I've tried abortbuild, rebuild, changing files, etc... without luck. What's wrong and how do I fix it? -- Jon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

This seems to be a popular bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=490604 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=507551 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=409881 I've run into this several times and it gets annoying to deal with. Would *really* like this to be addressed somehow soon. -- Michael -----Original Message----- From: Jon Nelson [mailto:jnelson-suse@jamponi.net] Sent: Wed 7/15/2009 8:07 PM To: opensuse-buildservice@opensuse.org Subject: [opensuse-buildservice] bug: reducing the number of workers causes perpetual "building" state I reduced the number of workers (via /etc/sysconfig/obs-worker) on a local OBS instance and restarted obsworker. cd to /srv/obs/jobs and delete them manually. No other solution currently... :-( -- With best regards, Carsten Hoeger
