[opensuse-buildservice] JFYI, > 800 repos were broken
JFYI, OBS is currently triggered to re-generate about 800 repositories. These repositories contained rpm package files, which were not part of the metadata due to broken cache files. So, when your user reported not working installations, because of missing packages in the last 5 days, this was maybe the reason. Should be processed until tomorrow. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
Hello Adrian,

These repositories contained rpm package files, which were not part of the metadata due to broken cache files.
Is it known why the problem happened? Is it affecting OBS codebase and maybe a fix needs to be applied to avoid such issue on OBS private instances? Thanks for the heads-up. We tried to use a not-yet official support FS which has different behaviours in some cases.

No, not when you use the only currently full support FS from our(OBS) side: XFS. ext4 may also work, but this is not verified in all circumstances. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
